I love Labor Day weekend! It is the universe giving us that much need extra day away from work, to rest and re-connect with friends and loved ones. It is also NYC last hurrah for the Summer!
Labor Day weekend is even more precious in NYC, because of the millions of things you can do from food festival, rooftop bars, beer gardens and the U.S Open.
This is because it is the greatest city in the world, in my very much biased opinion, LOL.
Simply to say, NYC is the greatest city in the world, so why not spend your three day weekend here
Now that I have convinced you to pack up and relocate to NYC, haha, just kidding…
Here are 5 Affordable Thing to do in NYC Labor Day Weekend without breaking the bank
1. Attend the U.S Open
This has to be a “must go to event” on your social calendar for the Labor Day Weekend. The U.S Open is the final grand slam event of the annual international tennis tournament, and it is hosted every year in New York City.
It is a great opportunity to watch your favorite tennis players such as Coco Gauff, and Taylor Fritz battle it out on the court live!
In addition, there are other things to do such as attend private events, catch a glimpse of your favorite celebrities and try out the official drink of the U.S open Grey Goose Honey Deuce
ย The U.S. Open takes place from August 26 through until September 8 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens.

Tickets during the weekend go for $300+ a pop, but you might be able to get a ticket for $24 during the week.
2. Be a Foodie at the Smorgasburg Festival
Smorgasburg festival ย is legendary, and the best place to set your food buds loose.
Be prepared for an outdoor food market featuring all kinds of food cravings, and new cuisines you have been itching to try.
Smorgasburg festival is open now through the last week of October at three locations. The World Trade Center (WTC) on Fridays,ย Williamsburg on ย Saturdays and Prospect Park on Sundays, from 11am-6pm.

Ranges from $15-$30 for a meal
3. Attend a Yatch Party with Friends
As summer comes to an end, celebrate the Labor Day Weekend by taking a cruise or attend a yatch party.
A ton of yatch party event can be found on Fever.com, with individual tickets going for $20-$35.

4. Sip Beer at Union Square Park
Torch & Crown Beer Garden hosted by Torch & Crown Brewing Company is back for its second season at Union Square Park, from May 1st.
The space features delicious food, beverages, indoor and outdoor seating, communal tables, and outdoor lawn games.
It is the perfect environment to enjoy the NYC summer weather and festivities, while sipping beer with your best buds.

Thank you for your comment. Glad you read the post. I believe that question is subjective because defining “dreamy” is based on personal preference. However, in my opinion New York City is a great place to be with a vast array of opportunities. Furthermore, it is as electric and vibrant as media portrays.
